Kala Dyuti School of Fine Arts is founded and run by Aparna Seetharaman. The school currently offers lessons in Bharatanatyam and Indian Folk Dances for children and adults.
The pursuit of Fine Arts enables not just one’s physical fitness, but also mental focus and spiritual development. It is innately a personal journey, and hence her teaching also caters to each individual. In this, she follows in the footsteps of all her Gurus that she has been fortunate to learn from.
BIO:
Aparna commenced her formal training at Kalakshetra, Chennai at age 9. After college, she continued her advanced training under the illustrious duo, Naatyacharyas Smt. Shanta and Sri V.P.Dhananjayan, which she continues to this day.
She has performed solo and in group productions in India and in the US. She is very passionate about the art and has been teaching Bharatanatyam for many years. She also composes for Bharatanatyam and works with the Children’s Theatre, Palo Alto to compose dances and movements for their plays, such as Jungle Book, A Grain of Rice and Rahi – a Ray of Light.
